Author’s Note

Over ten years ago, I had an idea to build on my Jewish heritage and tell a superhero story. I grew knowing I was Jewish but never really knowing my legacy. As I grew older, I made a personal commitment to learn about that history - as complicated as it may be. This story represents a milestone on that journey for me.

That mythology and storytelling is vast with many gaps - room for storytelling that is both personal and poignant. For me, superheroes have always been a part of my cultural fabric. This story represents an opportunity to merge those two pillars in a way that honors them both. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed crafting it with my fellow artists and contributors.
