Poor Levi… he’s trying SO hard to impress Lenore. She does have that certain Geek-appeal after all. It breaks my heart to see him have to talk about his brother yet again. I get the feeling he’s had this type of conversation many many times.
In terms of production challenges, panel 2 and 4 were ones we particularly focused on for this chapter. The first challenge was what symbols to use. The idea with this panel is that Noam has protected his house with a series of glyphs and sigils. Researching what to use quickly led to a rabbit hole. There’s a lot of… stuff… out there. Some of it was interesting and some was just plain weird. For this, I kind of chose to go the middle road and let the reader read into them what they want.
